A new support group in the Hallstead area held it's first meeting Monday evening at the Rod & Gun Club in Hallstead.
​Flyers and brochures were available to new members along with wrist bracelets and buttons. 
Discussion on symptoms, diagnosis, and prevention while hunting and other outdoor activities were the main topics of discussion.
WPEL's David MacFadden was in attendance to do a follow up after the Harford event hosted by the Susquehanna County Tick-Borne Diseases Task Force. The program will air Saturday @ 7, 12 , and 5 news slots.

A HUGE thank you to the organizations and lawmakers who made this possible.
​This health care bill finally speaks for funding in Lyme research, and also creates a tick-borne work group to address the hurdles Lyme patients deal with on a daily basis.  It may not be exactly what was asked for but it's a huge step in the right direction.
