Lyme disease can be very debilitating, and mimic other diseases such as MS, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Parkinson’s, ADD, Fibromyalgia, and others.   Lyme disease is on the rise here in Susquehanna County. For the past several years Pa has been at the top of the list for increased cases, with 51276 “confirmed” cases from 2005-2015. Changes in reporting / tracking methods were made in 2015 to add “probable” cases of another 1697 in just that year.
In Susquehanna County there have been 284 “reported” cases since the year 2000 and of those 242 have been reported in just the past 5 years. This number does not include the “probable” cases. 
Some of the biggest issues we’re faced with are inadequate tests to diagnose, lack of follow through on “probable cases” by health care professionals, the lack of public knowledge, and inadequate treatment.
Probable cases include those with confirmed blood tests but no further information supplied by the Physician such as symptomology, as defined by the CDC criteria. Keep in mind, they wouldn’t run these blood tests if there weren’t symptoms…
